Lighting is one of the important contents and elements in hotel design. It not only meets people's basic needs for daylighting, but also an important means to beautify the environment and create the hotel interior atmosphere. In the hotel space, according to the layout of lamps and lanterns, lighting can be divided into four types: basic lighting, key lighting, decorative lighting and mixed lighting. (1) the basic lighting refers to the uniform illumination in the working space without considering the special local needs and evenly distributed over the illuminated area. Its characteristic is that the light is more uniform, which can make the space appear spacious and bright. This kind of lighting makes the hotel layout more free, which is conducive to the unified layout of lamps, air conditioning, spray, etc. (2) key lighting refers to the installation of lamps and lanterns at the place where the work needs to meet the corresponding standard requirements. This kind of lighting is often used in the creation of virtual space. However, if the working area is in strong contrast with the surrounding environment, it is easy to produce glare and visual fatigue when used alone. (3) decorative lighting refers to the lighting mode adopted to create visual aesthetic effect. This kind of lighting method is generally used in the design of guiding space and hotel lobby. (4) comprehensive lighting is based on the overall lighting, with local lighting or decorative lighting depending on different needs. In this way, not only can the whole hotel interior environment have a certain brightness, but also can meet the illumination standard requirements of the working face or special workplace, so this lighting method is more common in boutique hotel design.
